This was a fixture held over from last season which had to be postponed as it clashed with the sad occasion of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. We arrived at Collingtree Park Golf Club, which hosted The British Masters in 1995 to try and wrestle the Hollingsworth Salver from our hosts. The weather just about behaved itself although the wind was strong making the course very tricky, and narrow, before we looked at all the water! The team enjoyed themselves along with the hospitality of our hosts, with an excellent meal to finish the day. We managed an away win 5-3 to put Captain Brian back on track. A fairly close affair but we now hold the Hollingsworth Salver, congratulations to the team who will try to defend this next year at Aldwickbury Park.
